IU Day at the Nashville Zoo
Bring your family and friends to join fellow IU alumni for an unforgettable day at Nashville’s renowned zoo on April 12 to celebrate IU Day! This exclusive event will include zoo admission, a private tour of the state-of-the-art HCA Healthcare Veterinary Center, a book signing by an IU alum author, an exciting animal meet and greet, and a delicious lunch buffet.
Event details: Your all-day admission ticket grants you access to the zoo starting at 9:00 a.m. We encourage you to head to our private classroom at the HCA Healthcare Veterinary Center by 11:00 a.m. for a guided tour of the facility. During this time, enjoy a lunch buffet and the opportunity to meet two of the zoo's animal ambassadors in the Discovery Station. We will also have an exclusive book signing with IU alum and children’s book author Mary Voelker. She will have copies of her book “Indiana: A to Z” available to purchase.
Afterward, feel free to explore the zoo at your own pace, and don’t miss the exciting attractions like the Jungle Gym Playground, Soaring Eagle Zip Line, and the historic Grassmere Historic Home!
Pricing: Adults & Teen Rate (13+): $30 Youth Rate (2-12): $20
A few notes: Parking is complimentary with your registration. Tickets are required for all guests ages 2 & up (no discount for zoo members). The lunch buffet includes a taco bar (with gluten-free and vegan options available), desserts, soft drinks, and water.
Mary Voelker will have books available for purchase at a special discounted rate for alumni. Our event at the veterinary center runs from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., but we recommend arriving by no later than noon to ensure you have time to enjoy lunch before clean-up begins.
